Prof. Ir. Rosiah Ho has over 25 years of experience in academia and information and communication technology (ICT) in HK & overseas. He was the Associate Director of the Institute of Data Science and the GBA Policy Research Center at Lingnan University, focusing on technology transfer and U2I partnerships for innovative research.

 

His expertise lies in generative AI, and he holds a university patent related to AI for benchmarking postgraduate courses against the HK Qualifications Framework (HKQF) to enhance teaching & learning quality. Prof. Ho has collaborated with academics to secure and execute innovative research funding, including HK$19.2 million from the HK Chief Executive Community Fund (HKCE-CF) for projects in Gerontechnology & the Sharing Economy, Innovative & Technology (HKG-ITF) funds for AI-based initiatives in mosquito risk assessment and smart transport solutions for road safety.

 

He teaches both master and bachelor courses in Smart Healthcare Analytics, Smart City Technology, Smart Healthcare & Social Services and supervises research for master's students. Beyond academia, he is actively involved in community service as the Vice Chairman of the HK Public Key Infrastructure Forum, an Honorary Consultant for the HK Electronic Transactions Association, and a Consultant for the Smart City Consortium.

 

Prof. Ho holds a bachelor's degree with honours, master degrees with distinction in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, IT & Computer Science and a doctorate in Business Administration & Management. He is a Chartered and Registered Engineer in the above disciplines in the UK, HK, and Australia.
